Care That Goes Beyond Symptom Management

The conventional system runs the basic panels, compares your results to a range built around average rather than optimal, and when nothing flags as alarming, sends you home.

At RISE, we start where that conversation ends.

Functional wellness is the practice of asking why — why are you exhausted, why won’t your weight budge, why does everything feel harder than it used to — and then actually running the tests that answer those questions.

Our functional medicine program in Seattle is for you if you are experiencing:

Many of our Seattle patients come to us after feeling dismissed or frustrated by traditional care. Our role is to connect the dots and give you a clear path forward.

What We Look At That Others Don't

Our functional wellness approach begins with a comprehensive diagnostic picture that most practitioners never put together. In your first visit, we run:
Comprehensive Hormone Testing
Using saliva and urine-based panels like the DUTCH test, we assess your full reproductive and adrenal hormone picture, including stress hormones, cycle health, perimenopause and menopause transitions, and energy regulation.
Close-up of a person’s hands holding a green plant stem against their bare stomach, with part of the abdomen and navel visible—captured in soothing natural light, reflecting a sense of tranquility found in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood.
Gut Function Testing
A GI-MAP stool analysis evaluates digestion, inflammation, nutrient absorption, and microbiome balance. Your gut affects your hormones, your mood, your skin, your energy, and your immune function. We look at all of it.
Comprehensive Functional Bloodwork
We assess metabolic health, nutrient status, thyroid function (full panel, not just TSH), inflammation markers, growth factors, insulin, and more. All interpreted against ranges that reflect how your body is designed to function, not just what is statistically common.
Food Sensitivity Testing
Food Sensitivity Testing We identify inflammatory triggers contributing to bloating, joint pain, skin issues, fatigue, and brain fog that often go undetected in standard care.

GLP-1 Therapy in Seattle

For patients navigating weight management, hormonal imbalance, PCOS, or metabolic dysfunction, our GLP-1 microdosing approach is unlike anything available through conventional care.

We have been using these therapies since 2021, and we use them holistically, rather than the current mainstream weight loss conversation.

Functional Lab Testing
We find what others miss by referencing optimal lab value ranges, then building a protocol around what your body needs. That means running the full picture: DUTCH test for hormone and adrenal function, GI-MAP for gut health and microbiome balance, full thyroid panels, comprehensive metabolic and inflammatory bloodwork, IGF-1, insulin, iron, food sensitivity testing, and more.

The Answers Are in the Labs, Let's Run the Right Ones

If you are ready for a plan that is actually built around your body, the first step is a complimentary consultation with Dr. Storm. We will find what others missed and build a protocol around what you need to thrive.

What to Know Before Your First Functional Wellness Visit

How is functional medicine different from a primary care visit?

Conventional medicine is designed to identify and treat disease. Functional medicine is designed to identify why your body is not functioning optimally and address that at the root. We run more comprehensive labs, interpret them against optimal rather than average ranges, and build individualized protocols rather than applying standard protocols to everyone with similar symptoms.

RISE is a cash-pay practice. Functional lab testing, naturopathic care, and regenerative therapies are not typically covered by standard insurance, which is part of why they are so often unavailable in conventional settings. We offer customized receipts for HSA and FSA reimbursement and discuss your full investment before we get started.
It depends on what we are working on. Many patients notice meaningful shifts in energy, mood, and sleep within the first four to six weeks. Hormone rebalancing is typically a three to six month process. We track your progress with labs every four months so you can see exactly what is changing and why.
Only what your labs indicate you actually need. We do not hand everyone the same stack. Every supplement recommendation is tied to a specific deficiency or goal identified in your lab work. If something is not warranted, we will not recommend it.
Yes, and many of our patients do. Functional wellness integrates naturally with C-section recovery, HBOT, regenerative aesthetics, and injection therapies. When we understand what is happening systemically, every other treatment we offer works better.
Bring your results. We will review them and let you know whether the right tests were run and whether they were interpreted against ranges that reflect optimal function. In many cases, patients have had partial panels run or have been told results are normal when there is still more room for improvement.
